Cosmetology Course Curriculum

What we teach - the nuts and bolts...

We proudly implement the Pivot Point International curriculum. Pivot Point is one of the most respected leader in the hair and beauty education industry and pledges to continually set the standards of educational excellence worldwide.

Pivot Point's educational philosophy is based on the belief that hair design is an art form with hair as the medium. This artistic approach guides students and salon professionals through the basic elements of design - form, texture and color.

Taken from the Bauhaus Principle, the curriculum is a total system teaching the 'why,' not just the 'how' so students learn to think, see and create like a professional.

Known as Pivot Point's Scientific Approach to Hair Sculpture and Design, students work through modules where technology, multimedia, and hands-on step-by-step practice are combined to fully develop and reinforce their knowledge.

Through the world-renowned Pivot Point International Modular Educational Program, you'll learn:

  • On a modular course format
  • Elements of design - form, texture, and color
  • How to visualize the elements as one, then mix and match them to create a selection of hair designs that are virtually endless by using procedures and techniques

Pivot Point's exclusive Salon Success program will teach you how to put the professional side into your beauty career. You'll learn skills in:

  • Client service
  • Time management
  • Self-promotion and marketing
  • Goal-setting
  • Merchandising
  • Marketing

It's important to gain practical experience before beginning a career. Theoretical lectures and off-clinic practice are important, but there is no substitute for performing a service on live models (guests), under close educator supervision.

We designed our facility to be a real salon/spa setting with the most current technology. You will have the opportunity to polish the interview, assessment and treatment skills necessary to provide a quality service experience, every session, every time in a real-life setting.

Our extensive classroom and practical training program puts our students leaps-ahead when they begin their professional life.
