Pivot Point's exclusive Salon Success program will teach you how to put the "professional" side into your beauty career. You will learn skills in:
CLINIC PRACTICUM
Students need practical practice, practice, practice before beginning a successful professional career. Yes, theoretical lectures and off-clinic practice are important, but our experience has shown that there is no substitute for actually performing a service on live models (guests), under close educator supervision.
So, to provide this real-life practice, all cosmetology and esthetic services are available to the general public at Federico Beauty Institute salon and spa. We specifically designed the facility as a professional salon/spa setting with the most current technology so you have the opportunity to polish the interview, assessment and treatment skills necessary to provide a quality guest experience, every session, every time in a real-life setting.
The combination of extensive classroom and practical training before working on the public, our students begin their professional life filled with confidence and valuable experience.
MODULAR COURSE FORMAT
You learn to think, see and create like a professional starting the first day of class. Our modular approach to teaching has students on a schedule where they focus on one core subject at a time diving deeper than most other schools dare to go. This makes the learning process easier AND teaches the 'why,' not just the 'how', in your educational program.
PHASE ONE = 150 hours
80% Theory, 20% Practical.
As service-set experience expands, students improve their skills and attain a level of performance consistent with our standards. You are trained to provide a few services to guests on the clinic floor:
PHASE TWO = 150 hours
30% Theory, 70% Practical
As you continue to build their practical skill-set, you are also learning to build a solid client base as they sharpen your retail, customer care, and service skills.
You will build your Salon-Ready training to include:
PHASE THREE = 150 hours
30% Theory, 70% Practical
In the third phase of theoretical knowledge and hands-on experience, you work with an established client base and fine-tune their concentration, accuracy, and speed. At this point, you are now able to provide the following Salon-Ready services:
PHASE FOUR = 150 hours
20% Theory, 80% Practical
In the Senior phase, you are scheduled for a full-rotation on the clinic floor to increase their confidence and your professional abilities. They earn the final hours and operations needed to complete the Esthetics course.
