Federico Beauty Institute is beginning to offer a study abroad program for cosmetology students, in conjunction with Pivot Point International.

Sacramento, CA January 11, 2010 -- Federico Beauty Institute is pairing up with Pivot Point International to offer study abroad programs for cosmetology students who attend the Sacramento beauty school.

This study abroad program will give students the chance to travel to Pivot Point Academy locations around the world. The program consists of trips to foreign countries, spending seven nights at each destination. Students have the opportunity to study with some of the best beauty industry instructors in the world, learning tips and techniques that are above and beyond the normal curriculum. In addition, students are taken on whirlwind tours of the foreign cities they are visiting.

A group of forty students just returned from Australia as part of the first trip in this study abroad program. Students from Federico Beauty Institute, Kohler Academy, and Pivot Point spent two weeks exploring Melbourne and Sydney, while studying at Pivot Point Academies in each location. Jeremy Federico, president of Federico Beauty Institute, is the one who has organized these programs for his students, and travelled to Australia with the group.

“Studying abroad is not usually an option for students who are attending beauty school,” explained Jeremy. “If you aren’t attending a liberal arts college, you don’t normally get this kind of experience. We are very proud to be able to offer our students the chance to travel for a couple of weeks, and study in other countries. And, of course, we are just as excited to see these new places as they are!”

These study abroad trips will be offered twice a year, with a new group of students travelling each time. The trips still count towards licensing hours, and students earn up to 8 hours per day, for each day of the trip. There are two more study abroad trips currently being planned. A trip to London is being planned for spring 2010, and a trip to Tokyo is in the works for fall 2010.
